The School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Evansville invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Civil Engineering with an expertise in Structural Engineering to start in August 2022.  

Applicants should be committed to outstanding undergraduate teaching and have excellent oral and written English skills.  Appropriate scholarly/professional development activities and university service are expected.  The applicant's primary specialty should be structural engineering.  The applicant will be responsible for teaching structural analysis, structural design (steel and reinforced concrete), engineering mechanics, and other introductory level courses in engineering.  The civil engineering program is focused on project-oriented learning and the successful candidate will serve as an advisor to student project teams. The civil engineering program is accredited by EAC-ABET and the applicant is expected to participate with other faculty in program assessment.

A B.S. in civil engineering, an earned doctorate in civil engineering, and a professional engineer’s license (or the ability to obtain a P.E. license within two years) are required.
