Job Summary:

This position's main duty will be to provide a wide variety of program support to the Forensic Toxicology and Clinical Metals departments. Primary responsibilities include: entering and verifying sample information in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS); contacting customers to ensure valid data and chain of custody; preparation and distribution of reports; knowledge of the program's records; interpreting and filling open records requests for ongoing circuit court cases; providing a broad range of knowledge regarding forensic and clinical metals testing to effectively meet the needs of the customers; provide information regarding cases for law enforcement agencies, district attorneys, and coroners/medical examiners; a wide range of other duties as needed, including: managing analysts calendars in Outlook for trial testimony, subpoena management, distributing reports, file maintenance, copying, scanning, and faxing as required by the laboratory director and supervisors. This position also maintains proficiency with multiple Reference Lab Billing (RLB) procedures.

Education:

Required
H.S. Diploma
Advanced data entry and customer triage skills in a clinical/forensic laboratory setting.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience in laboratory administrative support required. Experience with forensic/clinical toxicology and public health laboratory support is preferred.

Additional Information:

This position will be able to work independently and under general supervision. Knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, EPIC Beaker laboratory information management and EDS (Medicaid) system are required. Effective organization and time management skills, general knowledge of mathematics and statistics, advanced data entry, general filing, document scanning and retrieval are essential. Exceptional customer service, telephone, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are required. Position requires individual to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
