PART-TIME LECTURER, ELEMENTARY EDUCATION, SPECIAL EDUCATION

The Education Studies Department of Skidmore College, a selective liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, New York, invites applications for a part-time, lecturer position, for the Spring 2022 semester.

Premised on a constructivist approach to teaching and learning, faculty in the Education Studies Department prepare students for initial certification in New York State, grades 1-6.

Education:

This position will teach one 3-credit course in Spring 2022 – ED213 The Exceptional Child in the Elementary School. Experience and expertise related to this survey course in special education and a Master’s degree in the field of education are required.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include a strong commitment to social justice, teaching experience at the college and/or elementary school level, a robust commitment to undergraduate teacher education within a liberal arts context, and the experience or ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience
