Description:
The Provost is the chief academic officer of the college,
reporting to the president and acting as chief administrative
officer in the president's absence. This leader is responsible for
the direction and quality of an academic program that includes
approximately 90 bachelor degree programs, including supervising
the hiring and development of instructional staff which includes
249 full time faculty and 144 part-time faculty; continuous
improvement and assurance of high academic standards; and academic
budget development and management.
The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate or its equivalent, and a record of achievement sufficient to merit a tenured appointment to the rank of professor in one of the academic disciplines of the college. The successful candidate must have demonstrated
competence as an administrator, experience with fundraising and cultivating donor relationships, and a balanced, interest in teaching and learning, scholarship, and collaborative, grant-funded undergraduate research.
