The Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology (MMET)
department in RIT's College of Engineering Technology (CET) is
currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a
full-time, tenure-track position. Candidates for this position will
be expected to teach, publish and conduct externally funded
research in areas related to Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0,
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), robotics, and related areas
such as: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Industrial
Applications, Automation, data analysis, data visualization, data
exchange in the manufacturing environment, cyber-physical
systems.
The position begins in mid-August 2022.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o A Ph.D. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotics, Automation Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or an earned doctorate in a related field.
o Demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Machine design, mechatronics, robotics, automation, static and dynamic analysis, all as applied to industrial robotics and automation used in modern manufacturing
o Demonstrated research in the areas listed above as evidenced by funded research and peer-reviewed journal publications.
o Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college's continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
The position begins in mid-August 2022.
