Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Health and
Human Sciences invites applications for the position of full-time
tenure track or clinical faculty position at the Assistant
Professor level with a certification as a Child Life Specialist.
This position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate-level
courses in child life, contributing to child life programming and
curriculum development, student advising with emphasis on practicum
and internship application preparation and onboarding management,
supervision and participation in student clinical experiences,
evidence-based practice projects, and participation in
departmental, community, and university service. Appointment to
begin January 2022.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Terminal degree in Child Life, Psychology, Human Development and
Family Studies, or related area.
Certification as a Child Life Specialist through the Association of
Child Life Professionals.
Minimum of 4000 clinical hours as a paid Certified Child Life
Specialist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching experience in both the classroom and online setting.
