The University of Houston College of Nursing at the University of Houston at Katy is seeking outstanding candidates with exceptional clinical practice, scholarship, excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty, graduate, and undergraduate student populations. The anticipated start date for qualified applicants for the two Clinical Non-Tenure Track Promotion-Eligible faculty positions begins August 2022.

Faculty responsibilities include ongoing curriculum development and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate program using direct on-site, simulation, on-line, and distance education strategies; some travel; participation in college and university committees; engaging in scholarship, service and academic advising.

The College of Nursing is proud of its excellent BSN, MSN and new DNP academic programs, innovative web-enhanced education, simulation laboratories, and supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. While the primary teaching site is the University of Houston at Katy, the College of Nursing has programming on the University of Houston at Sugar Land and the University of Houston locations. Qualifications :

  1. Doctorate in nursing or related field .
  2. Master’s degree in nursing from a professional accredited school of nursing.
  3. Candidate must possess licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.
  4. Minimum 2 years clinical experience.
  5. Excellent clinical and communication skills.
  6. Teaching experience required .
  7. Established scholarship and publications.
