The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Childhood Education. We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, ability to teach non-traditional or diverse student populations, the ability to collaborate in a positive manner with faculty and staff, and evidence of a distinguished or prospective record of scholarship as well as community service via projects, committees and/or leadership roles.

The candidate must hold a doctorate in Early Childhood Education or related field conferred by August 1, 2022. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Early Childhood field in the following modalities: online, hybrid, and on campus. The candidate must be available to teach and supervise students during daytime, evening, and weekend hours. This position has the potential possibility for program coordinator opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Ph.D. or Ed.D.. in Early Childhood Education or related field. ABD that is complete by the start date will be considered.
2. Knowledge and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood education including related competencies.
3. Minimum of 3 years teaching in public schools in grades pre K- 2nd.
4. Hold or have held a teaching license ( PEL ) for prek-2nd grade Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience teaching university-level courses.
2. Experience supervising students in the field.
3. Experience collaborating with other professional and school personnel in the field.
4. Documented record of an ability to make intellectual contributions through scholarly publications/presentations consistent with the maintenance of AQ (“Academically Qualified”) faculty status under accreditation standards.
5. Current or former Illinois Teaching License
6. Ability to teach at night and on weekends
7. Experience with Blackboard, Livetext, TK 20 or comparable.
8. Experience with and knowledge of NAYCE, CAEP ( NCATE ), and Gateways
9.
