Job Description:

Champlain College is hiring a full-time family or adult nurse practitioner to become an integral part of our small, dynamic, and growing Student Health Center. The NP will work closely with our team of nurse practitioners, RNs, psychiatric NP, and counselors in providing acute care and preventive health services to our undergraduate and graduate student body.

We are looking for an NP with a passion for and experience with caring for diverse patient populations, including under-resourced populations. We are looking for this individual to have a keen interest in providing care to students of the traditional undergraduate age population. This position will include both medical and psychiatric clinical care, and we are looking for an NP with an interest in treating students' mental health needs collaboratively with the support of our counseling team and part-time psychiatric nurse practitioner. 

The Student Health Center is open Monday - Friday daytime hours. We are closed for the summer. 

 
Requirements:

  • Current certification as family or adult nurse practitioner
  • Active license and good standing with Vermont State Board of Nursing
  •  Basic Life Support Certification
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and desire to creatively problem solve
  • Strong leadership skills and interest in health education and promotion
