Position Function
Provide support to the Vice President of Governmental Relations with all initiatives in corporate and employers engagement arenas; will spend a significant amount of time building relationships with employers and organizations in Indianapolis, as well as on campus in Muncie.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
At least three years experience working in or with federal, state, or local government, in or around economic development, talent development or related area.
Minimum Other
Ability to work independently on broader assignments with the responsibility for the planning of the assignment; sound decision making skills within accepted standards of ethical and professional conduct; excellent written and oral communication skills; capacity to develop coherent and useful summaries of complex issues which have been presented orally at public meetings or in written form (such as policy briefs or legislation); demonstrated ability to solve problems; strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to build and maintain professional working relationships internally and externally; strong track record of completing information requests along with follow-up answers to those requests; ability to work as part of a team in advancing the university’s interests.

Experience with state-level policy development or economic development in the State of Indiana.
