Summary of Job Duties:Under the Director of Financial Administration’s direction, the Associate Director of Financial Administration’s primary obligations are providing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the School of Art. The Associate Director prepares regular and ad hoc reports of budget versus actual expenses and provides reporting, tracking, and assessment of annual operating budget processes; as well as identifies funding sources. A large portion of this is gift and endowment-related. The Associate Director ensures that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and promptly by verifying and approving Workday transactions. The Associate Director will meet with members of the School of Art leadership team, including Program Directors regularly to discuss finances. The Associate Director advises the Executive Director and the Director of School of Art in the oversight and management of all funding sources.

The is a one-year appointment, renewable based on the need for the position, availability of funding, and continued satisfactory level of performance in the role.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two years of experience in accounting, reporting, and financial analysis

  • At least four years of progressive responsibility in a higher education institution



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of procurement, travel, payroll, and business processes in Workday

  • Experience using the Workday finance system

  • Experience using the Blackbaud foundation system

  • Demonstrated experience working with gift accounts at the University of Arkansas

  • At least two years of experience in privately supported, endowed funds

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Salary Information:
