The Art and Art History Department at Adelphi University is looking for adjunct professors to support their photography and digital arts programming. Our immediate need is to fill one or two sections of Digital Imaging in Spring 2022.

  1. The ideal candidate must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays and have experience teaching the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
  2. Digital Imaging courses typically enroll 15-18 BFA students and present the computer as a fundamental studio art tool.
  3. The long-term goal is to find individuals who are comfortable teaching a variety of digital media and photography courses, including Digital Imaging, Digital Art, Introduction to Photography, Documentary Photography, and Studio Lighting.

  1. Master's of Fine Arts degree required.
  2. Teaching experience beyond Teaching Assistant (TA), preferred.

Adelphi's Art Department currently enrolls over 120 art majors who concentrate in Studio Art, Art and Design Education, Graphic Design, or Art History. In addition, the Department offers non-major studio art electives, which are open to all Adelphi students
