Job Description:
The UAS Range Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all inventory, repairs, and logistics to maintain proper integrity of equipment, managed ranges, storage areas and ensuring 100% accountability of organizational assets. This will include working with contract vendors to monitor work orders, organize and track maintenance and repairs of assets and facilities, and work with administrative operations to control supplies and inventory from point of purchase, receiving, transferring and disposal of assets. The Range Coordinator will work with the Operations and Maintenance Teams to ensure range space is scheduled and configured timely to client needs and research objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Operations
- Prepare, communicate, and execute logistics for all UAS ranges
for operability and safety.
- Manage all tasks and work orders related to range upkeep and
100% readiness for operational needs.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate inventory transfer planning
before and during operations.
- Work to communicate with team regarding all safety concerns and
requirements.
Facilities and Inventory Control
- Develop and maintain visible inventory management processes for
the inventory of tools, supplies, daily use items, consumables and
hard-to-find/critical parts.
- Identify, plan, and execute required preventative maintenance
for all ranges and facilities as required.
- First point of contact for all Shipping and Receiving for the
Organization including communications with university central
receiving.
- Identify vendors, obtain quotes and work with business staff to
execute approvals for necessary purchases.
- Serve as Department representative for compliance with all
university property guidelines and deadlines.
- Propose and execute appropriate storage, surplus, or transfer
of assets.
- Communicate inventory process requirements to staff.
Support and Other
- Present progress reports.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Mentor and supervise student intern staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in coordinating and scheduling.
- Additional experience may be used as a substitution for the
minimum education requirements:
- High School diploma and four (4) years of related
experience.
- Associates degree and two (2) years of related
experience.
- High School diploma and four (4) years of related
experience.
- Intermediate skills in Windows and Microsoft Office
Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed. Overnight travel associated with
position may be up to 20%. Day travel between UAS ranges and campus
locations is likely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years related experience in coordinating and
scheduling.
