Vehicle/Equipment Operator - Support Services Associate

Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide a range of semi-skilled services to support the work operations of the Central Receiving Warehouse. The position is responsible for loading and unloading goods, disposing and transfer of surplus property. Employee will maintain and operate a 25 foot delivery vehicle and a cargo van and other vehicles as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Requires appropriate licenses or certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of the operations of a warehouse; knowledge of shipping and receiving parcels; knowledge of automated inventory tracking systems; knowledge of data processing ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions;

A valid driver’s license is required. Candidate must be able to operate a 25 foot delivery truck, a service delivery van safely across a busy campus with many pedestrians.
