Position Summary:

The MA in Mental Health Counseling Program at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology seeks to hire a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor to start in Fall 2022. Applicants with the ability to contribute to graduate training and the clinical supervision of graduate students will be considered. Strong preference will be given to applicants with experience in program administration at the graduate level, including experience with online programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Day-to-day management of the Mental Health Counseling in-person and online programs
  • Teaching required courses in the MHC program
  • Academic advising and serving on college/program committees

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Record of excellent teaching experience
  • Experience in administering counseling programs including online teaching
  • Scholarly productivity, as evidenced by publication, research, and grants within counseling will be preferred
  • Ph.D. degree preferred but strong MA level candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Licensed or license eligible in New York State as a Psychologist or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong track record of active training and clinical involvement
  • Knowledge of CACREP standards, and CANVAS or equivalent Learning Management System is highly preferred
  • Commitment to working in a multicultural setting
