The Associate Registrar of Records and Registration has a
university-wide responsibility and accountability for analyzing and
maintaining enrollment systems in support of registration,
scheduling, and curriculum. The Associate Registrar is responsible
for ensuring data integrity, exceptional and efficient business
practices and excellent customer service with faculty, students,
staff, and the Enrollment Management team. The Associate Registrar
will align best practices as part of the University’s strategic
plan and continuously work with others across the campus and
provide enrollment trends as needed.
This position, in the absence of the University Registrar, serves
as the responsible party for decision making, policy interpretation
and supervision of the staff. This position will be responsible for
maintaining accurate, confidential, and secure academic records for
currently and formerly enrolled students, faculty, staff, and
administration. This position reports to the University
Registrar.
WSSU’s Office of the Registrar provides services and support to
students, faculty, alumni, the general public, government, state,
and national educational agencies, and other University offices.
The primary function of the Office of the Registrar is to maintain
the integrity of all student academic records, admissions, and
registration information and to support the academic mission and
purpose of the University by providing information and academic
services to faculty, staff and students in an efficient,
user-friendly manner while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and
confidentiality of academic records, exemplary service by
continually improving business processes for registration,
scheduling, academic records, transfer credit articulations, degree
evaluations, degree clearances, commencement and related functions
to adhere to policies and model the highest standards of the
registrar profession.
The Office of the Registrar works directly with the Office of
Admissions and the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid and
reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment
