Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the UW-Madison Travel & Card Program Manager, this position will assist in the daily administration of the UW-Madison Purchasing Card and Corporate Card Programs and the Expense Reimbursement System. Duties will include processing credit card applications and change requests, performing regular system maintenance, processing and analyzing routine statistical data, maintaining approval role assignments, responding to campus inquiries regarding policy or procedural questions, and generally supporting the Card Programs and Expense Reimbursement System. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position to minimize risk and ensure data integrity. This position will work closely with the Card Program Manager and Expense Reimbursement Manager; however, most work will be performed independently.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in a clear, business-like, and courteous manner with a diverse internal and external customer base.

- Knowledge in accounting principles and theory.

- Proficiency in Excel and ability to create complex spreadsheets and reports.

PREFERRED
- Considerable knowledge of and experience in Oracle's PeopleSoft. Ability to query and analyze large volumes of data.

- Ability to participate as an effective team member by contributing to the efficient operation of the work unit and providing constructive feedback for the purpose of continuous improvement in a manner that is supportive of the Travel & Card Team and the Division of Business Services.

- Strong human relations and interpersonal skills to maintain effective, professional, and cooperative working relationships with managers, supervisors, coworkers, and all internal and external customers.

- Excellent organizational skills and techniques. Ability to work independently, prioritize work duties, and demonstrate effective time management skills to meet Accounts Payable, Business Services Division, University, state, and/or federal deadlines.

- Ability to multi-task and transition quickly between priorities to address specific situations.
