Summary

The Allen School of Engineering & Computing at Trine University invites applications for a faculty position in the Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science and Information Technology beginning January 2022. The faculty member must be committed to deliver instruction in the information technology program with passion, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching while working in concert with the other faculty to continually maintain the relevance of and improve the curriculum.  The ideal candidate will possess the ability to contribute to our student coding and hacking teams while coaching and developing new student activities.

Competitive candidates will show potential for excellence in classroom teaching and will demonstrate one or more of the following: strong IT computing skills, knowledge of AR/VR, game design, Esports Administration, cybersecurity, web development, and pedagogy. They also will demonstrate evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  The successful candidate will be expected to engage in outreach and service activities and contribute to best practices and/or education research in the discipline.

 Education and/or Experience

Applicants must have a B.S. degree in a field related to computer science, data science, information technology, software engineering, network administration, web development or a closely related field, and a M.S. degree in a technologically related field or engineering education.
