The Video Producer Associate actively collaborates and engages with video producers, instructional designers, and graphic designers to create video content for educational online programs. The Video Producer Associate works to maintain and setup the Studios to ensure a quality recording experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communication, or similar field is required.
  • Three (3) plus years of prior production.
Job Specific Qualifications
Experience working in Studio for video production as grip and/or electric:
  • Considerable knowledge of and working experience with Canon and Blackmagic camera systems.
  • Considerable knowledge of, and working experience with camera external recorders (Convergent Design and Atomos)
  • Considerable knowledge of and working experience with sound equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and safety issues for media and sound production, studio recording/video shoots, and production environments in general.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of video codecs and transcoding for web delivery.
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of video and audio editing.
  • Expert knowledge of data management, equipment compatibility, and post-production workflow.
  • Knowledge of Mac OS systems is required.
  • Software: Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder After Effects, Photoshop, Audition and Davinci Resolve.
  • Understanding of basic computer network concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Experience in handling DIT activities.
Responsibilities
  • Camera operator/sound mixer/gaffer and grip, as assigned by the Video Producers.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems and performs regular maintenance.
  • Ingest, logging, syncing, and organization of media. Post-production project setup, editing, on-lining, archiving video, delivery, and managing of digital assets.
  • Organizing and executing pre-production and production processes for assigned courses, coordinating with the rest of the Video team, Instructional Designers and Multimedia artists.
  • Receive and implement notes regarding the editing of projects based on content and input from the producers, instructional designers, and faculty member.
  • Archiving and maintaining record of master files, making sure all footage is secured and backed up.
  • Assemble footage into string outs, rough, fine, and final cuts while maintaining professional standards when needed.
  • Perform initial color correction passes and preliminary sound sweetening when needed.
  • Provide graphics support utilizing Adobe After Effects and Creative Suite when needed.
  • Ensure quality control and consistency on final deliverable’s utilizing and recommending advanced technologies, workflows, and post-production methodologies when needed.
