COVID-19 vaccinations are now required for all Oakland University students, faculty and staff.
The Oakland University School of Nursing is seeking applications for exceptional nurse researchers and educators for two tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin August 15, 2022. Candidates must hold a current Michigan Registered Nurse license or be eligible for Michigan RN licensure. The School of Nursing provides high quality and accessible education to baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral students. Applicants will be expected to engage in scholarly activities, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and demonstrate a commitment to service. Candidates must also demonstrate experience with or commitment to diversity and inclusion and developing a diverse faculty and student body. Expertise in acute care, maternal child/OB, leadership, or psych/mental health nursing desired, but all qualified applicants will be considered. It is preferred that candidates have a completed doctorate (PhD, DNP, DNSc, etc.) from an accredited university, PhD preferred. Applicants who are enrolled in a doctoral program and are all but completed with their dissertation or doctoral project may be considered if they can demonstrate evidence of degree completion prior to employment. Applicants must have a current, unrestricted RN License and must obtain a Michigan RN license if hired.
