Tenure-Track Faculty (3 positions) – DEI-focused Biology, Computer Science, Kinesiology Cluster Hire

St. Edward's University, a Minority-Serving and Hispanic-Serving Institution in Austin, TX, seeks three tenure-track assistant professors to support the university's distinctive social justice mission by advancing inclusive excellence within the School of Natural Sciences. Applications are currently being accepted for positions in biology, computer science, and kinesiology. All candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and a commitment to mentoring undergraduates from diverse backgrounds.

The School of Natural Sciences offers undergraduate programs in six departments. The School has made significant contributions to broadening participation in STEM fields, with more than 60% of its 650+ majors belonging to underrepresented minority groups. In addition to its academic programs, the School is also home to the Wild Basin Creative Research Center, a 227-acre wilderness preserve that is open to the public and supports university teaching and research activities. The School's Institute for Interdisciplinary Science (i4) is an NSF-funded center that fosters cross-sector partnerships, interdisciplinary collaborations, and training in informatics and emerging technologies.

Founded in 1885 by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edward’s University is a private, Catholic liberal arts institution that serves a diverse population of 2,900 undergraduate and 700 graduate students on its campus in South Austin. An equal opportunity employer, St. Edward’s University embraces excellence through diversity and especially encourages applications from women and members of underrepresented racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender minority groups.
