Job Summary

The Center for Materials and Manufacturing Sciences (CMMS) within the School of Science and Technology at Troy University invites applications for multiple positions of Postdoctoral Associate, which will be open until filled.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting faculty in CMMS to carry out research projects, conducting independent research related to plastic recycling, devoting full-time effort to research and publication, and mentoring undergraduate research students and lab technicians. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments including DSC, TGA, DMA, rheometer, GPC, AFM, NMR, and others. 

The current positions are funded through research grants from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for two years. Upon successful funding from external sources beyond the initial period, the position is renewable based on satisfactory work performance.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Doctoral degree in science or engineering. 
   2. Strong organization and interpersonal skills. 
   3. Relevant instrument operation experience.
