Purpose of Position
Position will support the architecture, design, analysis, and development efforts of the University’s data warehousing and reporting. Will be responsible for: querying, requirements gathering, analysis, planning, design, configuration, development, testing, implementation, documentation, security, troubleshooting, and consulting support. Position will research, recommend, and participate in developing strategic direction and initiatives for BI applications within the university and communicate with client and developer groups to ensure that the university’s business needs are met. Will also document assigned work. Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, unit test 60%
Production support and troubleshoot 30%
Document assigned work 10% Qualifications
No specific major is required, but one in a technology field would be preferred. Requires a demonstrated understanding of a wide range of database and reporting technologies. Proficiency with an appropriate mix of the system analysis skills, database relationship knowledge, and strong SQL and Microsoft Excel skills are required. Applicants with any of the following experience/skills will be preferred: Power BI, Power Automate, SAP BW, Predictive Analytics, Data Science, Scripting/Programming Languages (Python, .Net, HTML, Javascript, etc.).
