Job Title SERVICE AIDE – Academic Advising Department (part-time) Reports To and Evaluated by Associate Dean of Student Services Required Qualifications
The candidate must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, with excellent interpersonal skills and above average clerical and computer skills. The candidate must be well organized, dependable, punctual, detail-oriented and have good judgment. The candidate must work well with little supervision and be available for evening work, when department requires it. Bilingual English-Spanish. The duties and responsibilities may change as the need the need of the college arises.
Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of truth, compassion, fairness, responsibility, and respect. Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent, ability to use Microsoft Office, and experience in an academic setting. Job Summary
The service aide will serve as the daytime front desk receptionist. The duties will include general receptionist work, answering phone calls, filing, scheduling appointments and assisting students, faculty and staff. Specific Job Duties

- To sort and file materials
- To perform word processing functions
- To assist other members of the Academic Advising Center
