Position Summary: Facilitate the efficient operation of the campus administrative office, providing support to the Dean, students, faculty, staff and community members. Serve as a liaison between various departments at the site campus and other Pellissippi State Community College campuses.

Essential Functions:

50% Student support- Interact professionally with a diverse population. Facilitate student services (registration, advising, financial aid, cashiering, and other as assigned). Process student admission paperwork in Banner software. Cross-train and cover for other departments, as assigned. Demonstrate excellent customer service. Monitor student workers. Support campus events and activities.

20% Secretarial Support-Serve as office manager to establish and maintain the daily routine of the campus administrative office. Provide secretarial support for faculty, staff, and students to include maintaining resources (directories, schedules, inventories, reports, leave forms and time sheets, etc.), and filing; serve as staff time keeper, prepare purchasing documentation and internal contracts; answer telephones, organize and execute projects as needed.

15% Facilities Support- Communicate as necessary with facilities, security personal, and other departments to assure smooth daily operations. Process room reservations and college calendar entries for meetings and activities through campus calendar software (25live). Serve as point of contact for facility services and outside vendors.

15% Instructional Support-Coordinate faculty and staff requests and provide assistance, as needed to maintain classroom operation (computer, lighting web access, projector, ect.). Coordinate distribution and collection of campus surveys.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum of high school diploma.

· 3 years related experience

Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience

Training in Microsoft Office Products, general computer and office equipment use (fax, copier, printer, and related equipment) and customer service type positions which could be done on-the-job.

Scope of Responsibility:

Extensive use of Banner software, college policies and procedures, admission application requirements and registration paperwork, processes, and deadlines, tracking academic schedules and room usage, learning new software applications adopted by the College. Familiarity with financial aid programs, outstanding requirements, and flow of financial aid documents in order to facilitate student and parent questions.

Pay Rate: $31,010 - $37,800/per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.
