The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position that will be split between the Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) professional program and the Department of Kinesiology. The candidate will be expected to teach graduate level Athletic Training courses within their area of contemporary expertise and undergraduate courses in the Kinesiology majors, primarily in prerequisite courses. They will also assist the MSAT faculty in recruiting efforts and administrative decisions for the program. In addition, the successful candidate will develop and maintain an active research program, advise and mentor students, and contribute to service responsibilities.

Responsibilities Qualifications Required:
  • Earned doctorate in Kinesiology or related field by August 2022
  • Demonstrated effectiveness teaching in athletic training curriculum
  • Evidence of an active research agenda
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Eligible for Wisconsin State license and in good standing with the Board of Certification (BOC)
Preferred:
  • Academic doctorate (PhD/EdD) preferred
  • Experience working with CAATE-accredited athletic training program
  • Ability to demonstrate an area of contemporary expertise as defined by the CAATE
  • Clinical experience in an athletic training setting
