Position: Assistant Professor, Law Enforcement Social Work
Starting Date: August 2022
1) An earned Ph.D. or Doctorate in Social Work or other closely
related fields from an accredited institution (or equivalent) is
required; however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate
(ABD) may be considered. For appointment, the doctorate must be
completed by the date of appointment (8/18/2022).
2) An earned Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a

law enforcement and criminal justice system, and communities in the
greater Los Angeles area.

students to become urban generalist social workers who will promote
social and economic justice and are able to facilitate change and
growth at all levels of practice. Our BASW and MSW programs are
accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The BASW degree
is designed to be completed in two years of upper division course
work. Courses are offered during the day and in the evening. The
Master of Social Work program is an Advanced Generalist practice
program that prepares professional social workers to work with
diverse populations and settings. We offer a 1-year Advanced
Standing Program (ASP); a 2-year full-time program and a 3-year
