Director of Advancement Data Analytics 

The UNC System Office is seeking a Director of Advancement Data Analytics. For priority consideration, please submit your application by November 1, 2021.

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development Strategy and Operations, the Director of Advancement Data Analytics will be an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT, most specifically in the areas of reporting, exporting, importing, and general database hygiene and maintenance. This position will design, implement, and manage data analytics offerings for the shared services institutions and assist the AVP in design, implementation, and management of the new Advancement Data Mart. Additionally, this position will serve as the lead data analyst for the UNC System's instance of RE NXT as well as six of the affiliated institutions in the UNC System (UNC Pembroke, Fayetteville State University, Winston-Salem State University, Elizabeth City State University, North Carolina Central University, and NC Agricultural & Technical State University). In addition, this position will provide consultative support to another five institutions in the UNC System that utilize RE NXT. This position requires experience prioritizing and managing varied tasks, excellent teamwork skills, and exceptional customer service and support. The ideal candidate will be flexible, well-organized, and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The UNC System Office includes the offices of the President and other senior administrators of the multi-campus University of North Carolina System. The UNC System is a treasured public institution dedicated to serving the people of North Carolina through world-class teaching, research, and community engagement. Today, nearly 250,000 students are enrolled in our 16 universities across the state and at the NC School of Science and Mathematics.
System Office staff is responsible for executing the policies of the UNC Board of Governors and providing University-wide leadership in the areas of academic affairs, business and financial management, long-range planning, student affairs, research, legal affairs, and government relations.

The UNC System Office also has administrative oversight of a number of University affiliates, including PBS North Carolina, the North Carolina Arboretum, the NC State Education Assistance Authority, and University of North Carolina Press.

About the Team
The University Advancement division maximizes philanthropic support of the University's teaching, research, and service missions through an integrated system of shared services and resources that expands opportunities for outreach and engagement and fosters strategic alliances. The division focuses on its key priorities by collaborating with and providing coordination, analytics and professional development for the fundraising and alumni engagement programs of the multi-campus UNC System. Additionally, University Advancement sustains its culture of philanthropy through private giving towards inter-institutional and system-wide initiatives that impacts our state, the nation, and the world.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills
Master's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or bachelor's and 2 to 4 years of experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

  • Experience with development fundraising vendor solutions (e.g MobileCause, Give Campus, iModules, EverTrue, etc.)

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Five or more years of experience in reporting and data management in Raiser's Edge NXT
  • Additional Blackbaud product experience preferred: NetCommunity, Research Point, Target Analytics, etc
  • Experience with Omatic’s Importomatic and Postomatic
