Assistant Professor of Marketing

Tenure-Track

 

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at New Mexico State University (NMSU) is seeking qualified candidates to fill a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Marketing beginning August, 2022.  Candidates are required to hold a PhD in Marketing from an AACSB accredited program.  The position is targeted at new PhD’s seeking their initial tenure-track appointments, and early-career Assistant Professors.  The area of research expertise sought is in Consumer Behavior.

 

Position duties include publishing research in refereed academic journals, teaching, advising students, overseeing dissertation work, and service to the department, college, university, and community.  Teaching is on a 2/2 course load for the first three academic years; thereafter, the teaching load will generally rise to the current standard for the department of 5 classes per year.  Candidates should have demonstrated verbal and written skills, and have experience in classroom teaching with demonstrated teaching effectiveness.  Candidates must have a solid record of scholarly research publication in Consumer Behavior commensurate with their career level.  Characteristics of ideal candidates include motivation to:  pursue external funding, work on multidisciplinary teams, and teach in the MBA Program.
