Position Summary:
Job Summary The Health Center Coordinator will organize and maintain the office area, assist in maintaining continuity of care for patients and function as a front desk registrar for the health center. This person will be responsible for managing the paper and electronic health records and providing administrative assistance to the administrative director. It is important that this person be able to maintain respect, composure, and organization during periods of considerable stress. Specific Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the Administrative
Director as needed.
- Assists in providing continuity of care for all health center
providers.
- Schedules appointments for all providers including nurse
visits.
- Assists in maintenance of clinic accreditation.
- Assists in student health benefits service in collaboration
with risk management and the administrative director.
- Serve as the Office manager for the health center - Maintain
office supply inventory, paper supplies, and reception area
supplies.
- Assists nursing staff with maintaining medication brochures and
patient information handouts
- Front desk registrar and receptionist for the health
center
- Assist in managing the health center budget.
- Health record manager
- Event manager for health center sponsored educational
programs.
- Assists with data management, collects, and maintains health
center statistics including patient satisfaction data and health
center productivity and data necessary for annual reports and
strategic planning.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesKnowledge of office technology including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS, video conferencing and SharePoint. Skilled in using EPIC, the electronic health record, preferred. Basic office equipment skill is required including typing, calculator, computer, copier, fax, and printer. Ability to learn and apply new computer software and programs that streamline care, duties and enhance the student experience. Knowledge of and adherence to the laws regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ability to work independently, as a team member, and collaboratively with other members of the health center team, students, parents, and other professionals, on and off campus. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. EducationHigh school or equivalent required. Physical DemandWorking conditions are indoors; normal office environment with occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs. Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
ExperienceMinimum of three years working in a professional office is required. Experience in a medical or mental health office is preferred. Experience working with a diverse population is preferred.
