Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Theatre who will teach undergraduate courses in Acting, as well as other areas of expertise, such as Children's Theatre and Theatre History, and direct a mainstage production annually. All faculty members function as academic advisors for theatre students and engage in shared governance of the department. Minimum Qualifications:
- Terminal Degree (MFA or PhD) by time of appointment from a
college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education
or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Directing experience obtained through coursework or work
experience in an academic or professional environment.
- Proven ability to work with students at different skill and
developmental levels.
- Ability to work effectively with students, public, college
community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for
cultural and group differences.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Children's Theatre.
- Experience Teaching Acting and/or Related Skills.
