Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Scholar will support CCUE in the process of developing a collection of micro-credentials to support the professional development of individuals who mentor youth from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. These microcredentials will be suitable for individuals involved in efforts to cultivate the development of youth of color – from individuals working in youth-serving organizations to individuals participating in a corporation’s youth-oriented civic engagement and workforce development initiative. Such individuals require professional training to develop competencies in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion and mentoring. This collection of micro-credentials on principles and practices related culturally responsive youth mentoring will prepare individuals to effectively engage youth of color, support their academic development, and promote their college and career aspirations.

Essential Functions
  • The postdoctoral scholar will work closely with the team to help develop the culturally responsive mentoring micro-credential overseeing the design plan and implementation.
  • The postdoc will assist in the development of modules including providing technological support.
  • Organize team meetings, support content specialists in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion and mentoring.
  • Conduct and evaluate the impact of the CCUE microcredential upon completion.
  • Provide grant writing support for the Justice Oriented Youth Education Lab.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Doctorate, Education, Educational Technology or Learning Sciences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with youth from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
