Yoga Instructor Department: Athletics and Physical Education Location: Washington, DC
Position Start Date: November 2021
Status: Part-Time
Sidwell Friends School, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD is seeking part-time seasonal Yoga Instructor for the Winter 2021 season. The winter season begins in mid-November and concludes late February.
Responsibilities involve teaching a group yoga class to students, promoting and creating a positive class culture and developing fundamentals and skills for yoga.
It is expected that the Yoga Instructor will maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of class management, foster a culture that promotes the Quaker values of the School and academic experience of the student, and intentionally integrate school core values as the framework from which to instruct and build a class program. A thoughtful approach and a desire to constantly improve and innovative thinking will be essential to success in this role.
