Anderson University, located in Upstate South Carolina, is seeking an individual to assume the leadership role, effective June 2022, for a newly developed Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Anderson University is a private, faith-based institution that has enjoyed considerable growth over the past decade including the development of a relatively new College of Health Professions. As part of its inception, the DPT program was founded in 2017, enrolled the inaugural class in 2019, and underwent its initial accreditation visit in the summer of 2021. Given the pending retirement of the Founding Chair, the University is seeking someone who will continue to lead the program according to its ambitious strategic plan. The program is well resourced with a stable and dynamic core faculty, strong administrative support, an active advisory council, and new teaching facilities. As an Apple Distinguished School, the University also boasts abundant support for the training and use of innovative technology. The program’s location in Greenville, SC offers many cultural and recreational opportunities, affordable housing and transportation, and close access to mountains, lakes, and beaches.

Qualified candidates must be licensed physical therapists who have a minimum of six years of academic experience in a physical therapist education program and hold a post-professional, academic doctoral degree in a related field. Candidates must have sufficient teaching and scholarly experience to qualify for senior faculty status and possess strong communication and administrative skills. Experience and knowledge of the CAPTE accreditation process is highly desirable along with involvement in professional service. Candidates must also share Christian beliefs and values that are compatible with those of the institution and support its mission.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Interested individuals should contact: Dr. Don Peace, Dean, College for Health Professions at and submit their application online at:  Applications will be received until position is filled.
