The University of Florida's Area Health Education Centers, which has been part of UF’s Health Science Center for over thirty years now, is seeking a Program Director to assume the leadership of this program with a 0.30 FTE commitment to this effort. AHEC focuses on academic and community partnerships for developing a health care workforce to best meet the needs of Florida’s diverse population, particularly those who are disadvantaged and medically underserved. Over 75% of the funding is distributed to affiliated AHEC Centers (four non-profit organizations originally developed by UF AHEC) via subcontracts to complete the required activities and defined services within their geographic regions.
