Position Responsibilities:
The subject matter covered in HADM 649 helps students learn about the myriad issues facing executives when managing health care workers. Practical issues that are faced by managers on a daily basis will be examined so that creative strategies are identified. The business case for becoming an “employer of choice” and the impact of various human resources strategies will be explored and analyzed. Other pertinent topics such as benefits administration, employment and labor law and liabilities, professionalism, employee wellness, conflict resolution, compensation strategies, and regulations will be explored as well.
Among the full set of 25 core competencies for which the MHA Program is designed and accredited by CAHME to prepare students for the workforce, the specific competencies that these courses help develop are listed below:

Required Qualifications:
●Advanced degree in a clinical discipline and relevant work or professional experience in the course topic area.
Preferred Qualifications:
●Experience teaching in-person for adult learners.
●5 years of executive leadership experience
