The Department of Educational Psychology, within the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Education, announces a tenure
track Assistant or Associate Professor with tenure position in an
APA-accredited Counseling Psychology program to begin Fall, 2022.
The department also has an M.S. program in clinical mental health
and school counseling accredited by MPCAC.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited Counseling Psychology program with an APA-accredited Internship, by start date of the position. Evidence of achievement in or promise of scholarly productivity required. Eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin preferred. Although the area of scholarly focus is open, we are particularly interested in candidates with a professional identity as a scientist-practitioner. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to the Department's strong multicultural, culturally-responsive emphasis, to conduct culturally relevant research, mentor students, and to contribute to instruction in the doctoral program in counseling psychology as well as to master's programs in school and clinical mental health counseling. Additional responsibilities include normal university committee work, student advisement, and grant preparation. This is a full-time, 9-month tenure track/tenure appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Salary range is competitive dependent upon qualifications. Summer teaching opportunities are generally available.
