Summary of Job Duties:The Registrar is the official custodian of student records for the University of Arkansas at Monticello, including the campuses at Crossett and McGehee. The Registrar is responsible for the supervision and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Registrar. This position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
•tServe as official custodian of academic records
•tResponsible for all registration and advisement report program
•tImplementation, interpretation, and conveyance of all academic policies
•tCollection, maintenance, and dissemination of student records
•tWork collaboratively with academic departments for course scheduling and classroom selection
•tPublication of class schedules and other documents related to registration
•tWork collaboratively with others in the development and executions of relevant processes
•tInterpret and convey residency requirements
•tWork collaboratively with all academic units to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
•tWork collaboratively with others in development of the academic calendar
•tWork collaboratively with the Director of Institutional Reporting on state and federal reporting compliance
•tCommencement preparation
•tProcesses graduation certification
•tRefer students, faculty, and staff to appropriate offices
•tServes on several University committees
otGraduate Council
otCommencement Committee
otAcademic Appeals Committee
otAthletic Transcript Review Team
•tOther related duties as required

Qualifications:

A baccalaureate degree is required (master's preferred) with a minimum of three years of experience as a Registrar in a college or university, or five years as an Assistant or Associate Registrar in an academic records department within a post-secondary educational institution. Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; strong knowledge and understanding of UAM academic policies and procedures; computer software experience in Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft.
