The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in developing and implementing strategies related to a variety of academic special projects for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). The Program Coordinator will address ongoing faculty, student, and staff needs related to teaching, research, and service. Responsibilities include facilitating all activities of undergraduate and graduate studies committees and assisting with faculty search committees, organizing course registration and managing the scheduling and room assignments for all undergraduate and graduate course offerings and seminars. This position supports the department's data infrastructure and maintains department records of student progress toward degree/program completion; coordinates with college advising and assists with the college's programmatic initiatives; assists student organizations with events and activities; provides guidance to faculty and students on all departmental, college, and university policies and procedures related to undergraduate and graduate programs. The Program Coordinator provides supplemental support for college and university marketing and communications initiatives. This may include coordinating and carrying out work related to CEE events designed to increase the department's visibility across stakeholder groups. The Program Coordinator works with the front office in completing general administrative tasks related to front office activities. Responsibilities include being first point of contact for visitors, students, faculty and staff; data entry; report preparation; and scheduling.

A Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a minimum of two years' experience with academic and administrative projects. Experience with event coordination a plus.
