The Questrom School of Business at Boston University anticipates an opening for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Information Systems. Pending Provost budgetary approval, the anticipated start date for this faculty position is July 1, 2022.  The IS department at Boston University is an award-winning faculty located in one of the academic hubs of the world.  Business Insider ranked it one of the 30 best places to live in the US.

We are seeking exceptional candidates with interests in leveraging digital technology to solve critical problems in business and society.  Prospective candidates must have a PhD in a core business discipline such as Information Systems, or a PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering whose research focuses on problems of interest to the business community.  Prospective candidates must have demonstrated capabilities in producing original and innovative scholarly work of the highest possible quality with impact in the top academic journals.  Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in information systems, business analytics and contribute to cross-disciplinary curriculum development activities.  Candidates with a research focus on digital health, digital platforms, fintech, digital customer engagement, and/or data/AI ethics will be preferred.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
