Job Description
This full-time position will primarily focus on teaching and assisting with clinical photography and administration of processes and protocols related to clinical operations and clinical research. This position will report to the Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Programs and requires research CITI training and HIPAA training. Specific duties include:
- Instruction of pre-doctoral and dental hygiene students, and advanced education residents regarding clinical photography including didactic and hand-on training.
- Assisting with clinical photography as needed across residency programs.
- Working with the NIH Rare Disease grant as well as other sponsored clinical trials to assist in scheduling patients, collecting data and forms, taking clinical photographs according to the protocol, uploading of data into online registry, working with the School of Dentistry Research Office and Clinical Research Center.
- Additional duties related to the specific clinical protocols that are awarded to the Orthodontics department or the Clinical Research Center
- Assisting the Orthodontic department with clinic operations
- Contacting patients prior to attending the Orthodontic clinic, answering questions, and discussing new protocols
- Preparation of presentations for the Chair and Orthodontic and
Dentofacial Orthopedics department including gathering files and
information, organization of information for the benefit of the
department.
Bachelor’s degree and a t least 3 years of dental photography experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous formal training in intra-oral and dental photography
Full Time/Part Time
Full time, benefit-eligible, unranked, non-tenture track, 12-month appointment
