The Providence College Theology Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professorship in fundamental moral theology. Essential Duties
A robust record of research and teaching in Roman Catholic Moral Theology is highly preferred. A candidate with strong knowledge of the moral thought of Thomas Aquinas is preferred. A successful candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to and competence for teaching in our team-taught interdisciplinary Development of Western Civilization program, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and in their work more broadly.

Education and Experience Required
Finalists for this search will submit a response to the College’s Mission Statement. A successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. no later than July 1, 2022.

Tenure-track faculty appointments at Providence College offer competitive salaries and full benefits. Additionally, the College provides reimbursement of relocation costs, and financial support for faculty development. Faculty may also apply for a semester-long paid sabbatical to support their scholarship before tenure. The standard teaching load is 3/3, and most classes have 15-25 students enrolled.
