Job Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides direct executive-level management support to the Chair and Department Administrator in the Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This position is responsible for the coordination of complex daily schedules and the coordination and organization of the Chair's meeting planning and travel. This position acts as a close link to the Department of Pediatrics, SMPH, UW Health administrators, faculty, staff, and other members of the community.
The Department of Pediatrics consists of approximately 750+ employees and associates in many facilities and locations, including University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, the American Family Children's Hospital (AFCH), UnityPoint Meriter, St. Mary's Hospital, Swedish American Hospital, and several outreach clinics.

- Minimum 3 years administrative experience providing high-level support to executives or leadership required, 5 years or more preferred.
- Experience managing complex calendars, virtual and onsite meeting coordination, advanced skills in MS-Office applications required.

- Ability to work independently and have sound judgement related to independent initiative and judgement.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated high level of administrative problem solving and analytic ability.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Additional Information:
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
