Old Dominion University, Department of Engineering Technology invites applications for full-time Lecturer position in its Civil Engineering Technology Program, with emphasis on Construction Management, Geo-technical Engineering or Water Resources Engineering. The position will commence in July 2022 or as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in one or more of the following areas: Surveying, CAD, BIM, Sustainability, Soils and Foundations, Water Resources Engineering, and Construction Management courses. In addition to this the candidate will be expected to advise senior design capstone projects in their area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach and develop undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in one or more of the following areas: Surveying, CAD design, Building Information Modeling, Sustainability, Soils and Foundations, Water Resources Engineering, and Construction Management courses.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training: A Master of Science or a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or closely related field is required by the expected date of hire. For all candidates, professional experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Professional registration, licensing or the ability to become licensed or certifications related to the construction discipline
