APPOINTMENT: Assistant Professor, Adjunct, of Music Analysis and Musicianship, beginning Fall 2022 (earliest) with an initial appointment of three years. Appointment renewable with review during the penultimate year. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is full-time and includes full benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Academic Studies Area faculty to design and teach core courses in Analysis & Musicianship and electives on music-analytic topics; maintain a professional profile that reflects the career of a distinguished teacher/scholar; contribute to all facets of the Academic Studies area and School of Music, including committee service, student advising, and instruction and/or thesis review within the academic component of the Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) program. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in music theory at time of appointment. Exceptional skill in the classroom instruction of aspiring professional musicians. Demonstrable creativity, compelling musicality, and requisite keyboard fluency in the teaching of music analysis and aural skills. Scholarly interests that complement existing faculty strengths.
