Rehab Counseling LbkMajor/Essential Functions
Primary duty will be to teach graduate level courses
and provide clinical supervision in an online
setting for the Master of Science in Clinical
Rehabilitation Counseling Program. Other duties
will include advising students,
curriculum development, and engaging in
scholarly development. Specific
teaching assignments are dependent on department
needs and individual expertise. Candidate must be
licensed as a professional counselor (LPC)
or license eligible in the state of Texas within one
year of hire. May be considered for higher
rank, dependent upon experience. This valuable team

Relocation to Lubbock, Texas, is required.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, Rehabilitation
Counselor Education, or closely related field. Candidates must be
licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) with supervision
qualifications in the state of Texas or have the ability to
transfer license to Texas. A record of professional or scholarly
productivity is desirable. A.B.D. (All But Dissertation)
will be considered if all courses are complete and candidate has
reached the "defense" stage.
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate
for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a
teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed
creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field
of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development,
and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of
professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of
growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative
activity
Preferred Qualifications
The Program is especially interested in candidates
who have experience and/or a research and practice
interest in
psychosocial/psychiatric rehabilitation, career counseling,
services for veterans, or experience working in
rural and
underserved settings.
