The School of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Central Missouri is accepting applications for several non tenure-track positions in Computer Science at the rank of Assistant Instructor. The appointment will begin January 2022. We are looking for faculty excited by the prospect of shaping our school’s future and contributing to its sustained excellence.

The Position: Duties will include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information technology or software engineering, and developing new courses depending upon the expertise of the applicant and school needs, program accreditation and assessment. Faculty are expected to assist with school and university committee work and service activities, and advising majors. UCM provides promotion opportunity for non tenure-track faculty with ranks of Assistant Instructor, Associate Instructor and Senior Instructor. • M.S. in Computer Science or a closely related area required.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related area preferred.

Computer Skills Presentation, Class Management Software, Other - Blackboard preferred Experience

• The successful candidate has demonstrated ability to teach existing courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
