Assistant Professor of Accounting or Business and Economics- Lyon College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting or Business and Economics starting in the fall of 2022. Candidates are expected to have the ability to teach introductory accounting as well as a range of upper-level accounting and finance courses. The ability to teach intermediate, cost, governmental/non-profit, auditing, and corporate finance. An earned Masters of Accountancy degree, with a CPA credential, and accounting experience is preferred.  Candidates with a doctorate in accounting or business administration with a CPA credential are encouraged to apply.  Experience at a small, residential liberal arts college as a student or faculty member and an understanding of the professional expectations at such an institution are desirable. 

Lyon College is located in Batesville, Arkansas, a safe and historic town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and governmental hub for an eight-county area and named by USA Today as the best city in which to live in Arkansas. The College currently enrolls almost 700 undergraduate students from 24 states and 15 foreign countries. Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.5 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
