Job Summary

This is a 50% part-time position. The selected individual will be responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, and organization of special events and programs designed to increase engagement, heighten awareness, and enrich a continuing relationship with the College of Agriculture’s stakeholders, which includes alumni, donors, students, faculty, and staff.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Serve as the liaison between the College of Agriculture and the Agricultural Alumni Club. Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the coordination of two large events each year for the Ag Alumni Club – Hall of Honor Awards Banquet and the Fall Ag Roundup Alumni event. Duties associated with the club include mailing correspondence including requests for sponsorships and attending club meetings.

Plan College of Agriculture regional alumni events at locations throughout the state (one to three per year). Plan on-campus alumni networking events.

Support College of Agriculture Student Services Office events that engage alumni including career fair, mentoring program, and other alumni-student events.

Work with the College of Agriculture Office of Development to support engagement events.

*Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of donor relations, event planning or program management including budget management, complex scheduling management, and ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with several offices on campus and others off campus.

Minimum Technology Skills

Data management knowledge; experience with Excel
