The Department of Chemistry at Hanover College invites
applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Chemistry
with a specialization in physical chemistry to start August 2022.
Teaching responsibilities include the introductory chemistry
sequence, upper-level thermodynamic and physical chemistry courses,
and the opportunity to teach inorganic chemistry where applicable.
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to excite
and interest students in the classroom and the lab. Additionally,
the candidate is expected to lead student research in a
liberal-arts environment and create an inclusive classroom that can
engage the interests of an increasingly diverse student population.
Minimum qualification is a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related
field. ABD considered but degree must be earned prior to
